Six nautical miles away from the town of Gansbaai is Dyer Island, possibly the best place in the world to view the magnificent predators, the Great White shark (Carcharodon carcharias.)
The island is a bird sanctuary and a breeding site for the African penguin and many other coastal birds. Adjoining it is a second, smaller rocky island called Geyser rock which supports a large seal population. Separating Geyser and Dyer is a channel aptly named "Shark Alley", arguably THE prime spot in the world for encountering the Great White shark. We offer shark cage diving and surface viewing. We can assist with transfers to Gansbaai as well as accommodation. We can also arrange for a personalised video/DVD to be made of your shark trip!
